Buffalo is getting calls, but general manager Tim Murray is telling people the decreased usage doesn’t mean the Sabres will just give him away. I think Anaheim had some dialogue here last summer, but the asking price was one of the Ducks’ talented young defencemen — a cost they were unwilling to pay without some kind of sweetener.

I dont necessarily buy into it (yet) but imo its the reason he wasnt the first forward taken in that draft. Talent wise i dont think there's anyone better but this is often tossed out there about him as a player.

I really don't know how Murray could ask much for him, the decreased usage is what it is. If he were worth as much as he would want he'd be on the ice more. I understand holding on to an asset hoping, but c'mon I don't think his value is going up.

He's saying what he has to say, no point in shipping him off for some mid round pick. The bit i find interesting is despite the decreased ice time it seems like the sabres still get more calls about him than Larsson.
