Honestly I'm with you, based on early performance and injuries (like it or not they did factor in) I say stay the course and they're not too far out of a play off spot. Right now they don't have the depth to be a contender, that's normal. I'm fine with where they are.

my guess is a 6 game win streak would have them closer to the 3rd spot in the east but not make a dent in how far they are to get a wild card spot

blue jackets and flyers are on fire, and I don't see the caps, rangers or pens slipping

Filling them with what ? He's in no hurry to make any deals, just like he wasn't earlier in the season when we had more injuries then we do now. He's going to be cautious due to how much we have taken on and what we have moved in other deals. Teams are calling for Kane and Girgensons, he's not calling anyone about either player. We aren't a playoff team as of now let alone a cup team, no need to take on aging vets and bad contracts.
