Since Novemeber started, the Oilers have played 23 games in 43 days only nine of which were at home and had a single 2 day break. Add that to the Western Conference's already difficult travel schedule. Comparatively in those same days, Columbus has played only 20 games of which 11 were at home and they've had 7 two or more day breaks in that same time frame. Add to that the East's relatively easy travel schedule.

It's not an excuse trying to argue that the team didn't lose fair and square (they most certainly did) or even that the schedule-makers are being unfair to the Oilers. Every team has a stretch like this at some point this season; Calgary has managed rather well through theirs while the Jets also struggled through their. It's simply pointing out that they're evidently tired from a long stretch without many breaks or legit, non-game day practices and that a return to a more normalized schedule should see a return to the more polished product we got to see earlier. We hope, that is.

Thank you for explaining my post to the Flames fan Maxbone. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Rest?!!!! Huh! Give me a break they just played there first back to back of the season the other night. The flames for example, have already played 4or 5 back to backs. The blue jackets have played a condensed schedule. The flyers, the penguins, see where I am going here. Stop making excuses they lost fair and square.

See what you did? Maxbone had to take a solid 7-1/4 minutes of his own precious time to explain a post to you. A post that should not have needed any explanation might I add.

Shape up.

You sir, are simply no fun to banter with at all.

Back to the Flames blog with you! You may return to this hallowed place once you have developed a sense of humor, but not a moment before!

May Larsson take pity upon you and yours.

In that post no. I just wanted to enjoy an exchange of somewhat witty/petty insults with another poster. Sadly Pzoxic is not the poster I'm looking for.

In relation to the original post, the Oilers were tired especially by the 3rd. Is it an excuse? Yes. Is it a valid excuse. IMO also yes.

Naw. Gagner has suffered enough. I'm just hoping he puts up 50/60ish points and gets a juicy contract somewhere.

They've been the worst crowd in the league for a long time now. Would be nice to have a Philly type crowd.

Oh... was that too short? Were you looking at a 6-8 year so he could retire an Oiler?

I can blame anyone for anything... doesn't mean I'm right in doing so. Like I could blame Russia for your flirting with me, and have the government coerce the CIA into giving very shakey evidence to support that, while multiple other agencies dispute the claims.

I can also mock the poop storm that is the political turmoil in my country, since I accepted the election results that day and don't want to be miserable

But yeah, its Putin's fault you want my ass

It was a post regarding politics... it can't be a short little quip. It needs to be drawn out, almost in a stupid and excessive way that can explain a point that a near sentence fragment could have sufficed to get the point across with. Its like when people are baking cookies, they smell great, its sometimes fun to make, and unless you burn them, always yummy... except oatmeal raisin, (frank) that noise... however you can also just eat the cookie dough, which is just as yummy too and save time.

Boom, I dare say that was a solid metaphor/mockery of a post about the mockery of politics.
