That not how sports works. If they can win the two games in hand they have. They be two points out of a playoff spot. With eichel missing as much time as he did, I don't think we could have asked got a better scenario.
This team looks like it has a shot at a playoff spot this year, dispute how badly injured they were for the first 20 games. - Mentalorgasm5
i'm hoping they could run the table but I just don't see it maybe because I've been fooled many times by this team .. but I'm expecting them to win the 3-1/2 out 5 lol
Only reason the lines are numbered is in regards to ice time . Like I said if we had the talent there is no reason to not roll 4 lines with equal time . So he really wouldn't be on a so called 4th no minutes line . - cabin
Sorry was busy...but back to my earlier post about Kane on the "4th line". We need to get past that idea of numbering lines like Cabin says. The good teams roll line after line (see NYR). That's what we should be striving for. All four of those lines would be dangerous in some fashion.
We also need to get past what was paid for to get Kane. Cause really, it was a dman (Myers) who was made expendable by his own play and by the pending emergence of Risto (Bogo was also in the deal) and a bunch of pieces that really, were either expired (Stafford) or no guarantee (Lemieux, Armia). Kane has had ample opportunities to prove himself wth the offensive elite of our team. He is NOT one of them. He's a super grinder who likes to shoot (the last part of which kills offensive opportunities for our offensive elite because he often takes ill-times shots). His skill set would work great with two other hard-working players (Grant and Girgensons) who will, and should, drive the net on his shot attempts. That's how they would create their offense. Not too mention being an absolute nightmare on the forecheck for the opposition.
I don't care how much he makes, we shouldn't be in the business of making it fair or lining up our depth chart based on salary. We should be doing whatever it takes to ice the best lineup and give our guys the best chance to be productive.

How so? we were awful without him and it seems like this year has no true bottom feeder in the east.
This is the trend with this team. They'll have a game like they did against NYR and then follow it up with a stinker. Then they'll beat a non division team suddenly its playoffs again until the next game where you guessed it another stinker.
Last night was an amazing win against a really good team and showed off what our core can do. But they can't play 60 minutes and in 82 game season the results are less than favourable. It's a shame though because i think one solid add could put them in that position

I was hoping someone else would point that out. Though it's interesting to me right now that I have an American Cancer Society ad showing currently. Only thing I can think of is I was in my Insurance Benefits page the other day here at work.
