Sure he has let in a goal or two that he wanted back, but 90% of his goals allowed are tipped right in front of him or goofy bounce of guys weird and end up in the goal. I will admit his is horrible at shootouts. Has he let in a goal from center ice yet? Or how about a goal like Eichel's first last night (weak shot from point where goalie totally missed a super easy one)? This team has been missing tons of D all year and he still has good numbers. You're right, he is not Carey Price or Lunquivst, but he also will not get paid anywhere near them either.

I get that people are frustrated, but the point totals and the eye test show that this team has improved year over year for a second straight year. Yeah it sucks to have to be patient, but this thing is heading in the right direction

I agree. I am not mad and am really happy at what Murray has been able to do. He gets meetings with guys, just misses the signing (which 29 teams miss). In a year or two when we have a great roster, he might be able to pull more college FA's. I think he has done a well above average job. Right now what we gave up for O'Reilly is laughable. I think he has won way more than he has lost.

He could never anticipate that the Sabres were going to trade for his rights nor force it to happen. He never played us, as he stated his intentions from day one as to hit the open market. He met with the team, was very gracious to all parties, and did EXACTLY what he stated he was going to do repeatedly.

He didn't play the Sabres, they were probably in serious consideration but he wanted to go to NY.

The problem is, you're assuming that Vesey just dismissed the Sabres out of hand because he didn't sign here.

See, this is where your emotions are getting the better of you.

You're assuming the cause based on the outcome, that is a logical fallacy.

It may be true, but you have no evidence to support your claim outside of the outcome. When in reality, he was presented with a better offer from a more competitive team that he wouldn't have heard from, if he didn't go to the free agent market.
