but does that assist nullify the terrible turnovers or mishandles leading to turnovers? It's tough for me. While that was very nice set up, I pay more attention to a PP where he was on the right circle and someone fed a perfect pass to put on net and instead he mishandled it and it went out of the zone. I think GThorne even said something about it went under his blade, but it actually was a bad touch and it went over... There were other shift killing turnovers too... IMO those outweigh the one "good" pass. - Stu17
my point was more that i actually think he's better suited with dowd than kopi. and if he plays poorly id rather him drag down dowd than kopi. |

In my defense, I wasn't the one making an argument to elevate Brown haha. And I quote, "But there's no clear argument for him to be restored to the top line."

I think that, if he wants to play on the top line, Brown needs to earn it by turning his game around on the 3rd line. If he starts playing the way that he used to, then no one in their right mind--not even his harshest critics--will have any problem with him being promoted for it. He needs to do that first, though. This game of "he'll turn it around if he's put on Kopitar's wing (again)" has gotten quite old. He might yet have success again with Kopitar eventually, but it won't be as long as Kopitar is a crutch for him. It'll be only once he becomes an asset to Kopitar, and that's not going to happen until he stops sulking and playing on autopilot and he turns his game around. |

Agree that he has to earn his place back with Kopitar, be "an asset." Disagree with the sulking and autopilot part...I think he's trying his best to lead and win. He simply isn't as impactful as he used to be. |

He's trying but it's like The Little Engine that Couldn't. His play would be good for comedy relief if he wasnt on my team that is. It's a nightmare when he's turning pucks over all the time and you're playing in all these tight games. |
