The stupidity with the Bills just never ends.

hey it takes real talent to go 17 years and still be as screwed up as them....

they fired Rex and not Whaley it will be at least 6 more years before they even think about payoffs.

Just think about the playoff drought record. They would prolly rename it something like "Bills mode"

D Grant = D Grant

Larsson = D Grant

Girgensons = D Grant

Falk = D Grant

Cole Schneider = D Grant

Cal O'Reilly = D Grant ETC ETC

That's the problem, to many Derek Grants in this organization.

- SABRES 89

so, what you're saying is, D Grant?

Honestly, I get wanting Whaley fired, but if I had to choose one to let go, it's Rex.

We have talent here, and they at worst, go 8-8.

It sucks, but Brady is going to be 40 years old. The Jets are 5x worse off. The Dolphins are about equal.

And probably trade up again to draft Deshaun Watson, because that type of quarterback is really working out for us (or anybody else who has an athletic, run first qb).

From Bleacher Reports website:

Ryan Expected to Be Let Go By Bills

Friday, Dec. 16

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the "widespread belief in league circles is that the Bills will make a head-coaching change after the regular season ends, if not shortly before then."

The next-hottest seat?

Rex Ryan has been on the hot seat and will remain on the hot seat until, eventually, the Buffalo Bills dislodge him from it.

Over the course of the season -- from when it kicked off and including when offensive coordinator Greg Roman was fired after Week 2 -- the bull's-eye has been on Ryan, and it won't leave him until he leaves Buffalo.

The widespread belief in league circles is that the Bills will make a head-coaching change after the regular season ends, if not shortly before then. If it does happen, Buffalo would be moving on to its sixth head coach -- sixth! -- since 2009. It didn't work out for Richard Jauron, Perry Fewell, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone or Ryan.

While Ryan's job is in trouble, Bills sources say general manager Doug Whaley is safe, which means he will have a hand in hiring his third head coach. It also means the end of this season is shaping up as a fitting end to Ryan's time in Buffalo. Should he survive until the last game of the regular season, Ryan's coaching career in Buffalo, and quite possibly in the NFL, could end at MetLife Stadium, against the New York Jets team he used to coach, on New Year's Day.

If they get rid of Rex they need to clean the whole damn lot out, and start new... otherwise it's just more of the same.... (and Einstein had a saying for this)... I guess nobody at one bills drive knows what it is though.

seriously, as bad as this d is

watkins injury
clay being a bust
dareaus issues
injuries to the first 2 picks this year
gm not realizing how bad the secondary is

if ryan goes 9-7 and loses his job, it shows a gm letting the coach fall on the sword for him

I think whaley is the bigger problem than rex

Worse is letting it play out, I hope as soon as we are mathematically out of the playoffs they let him go, otherwise we are talking about wins over bad teams that hurts more than helping.

Hearing lots of chatter on Anthony Lynn becoming the Bills next coach, but would rather take someone outside the organization with no ties to this pathetic coaching staff. Why not take a chance on Matt Patricia, the Patriots D coordinator. He obviously comes from a well ran organization and has learned from the best. Plus, his D is tops in the league.

That's who i'd like to see come in for an interview

Than we'll get the oh Lynn was the guy we wanted.... and the cycle starts again...

I've been watching the bills since the early 70's.... I'm just about done.... 6 years ago I stopped buying Tickets, or anything bills related. unless they blow it up it's NEVER going to change.... too many old school good old boys in the building...

Yup...

No depth at safety is on the GM
No WR depth is on the GM
Watkins trade is on the GM (I do think Sammy will be a great WR)
Clay contract is on the GM
No O-line depth is on the GM

This isn't the NHL when you have to wait years for draft classes to be ready to play...

Two coaches in a row that have had so called power struggles with the GM...maybe Whaley is the issue.

He has found good value at times for certain positions but there are still holes in the team.

Whaley needs to go. This team, even on defense, isn't that talented. They're not devoid of it, but 8-8 or 9-7 is exactly where I expected them to be, and it looks like that is where they will end up. I know it's cliche at this point, but they need to replace Whaley and let the new guy decide what to do with Rex Ryan.
