9 games per season for a year to be activated from his ELC.

This year and maybe next year he stays in Rochester and then the 2018-2019 season the Sabres will have 3 years of him on his ELC still.

Regardless the Sabres should be smart and utilize the slide rule. Give them 3 full years of his ELC in the NHL. Give him 5-8 games at the end of the season (if they are out of the playoffs) and make a decision on him next season.

good point...but opportunity knocked and he went for the short-term push...if he can get this team playing to the level of the talent he accumulated, all the players drafted from 2016 on will have ample time to develop...

yeah...one fan called feaster brilliant because the flames traded down and got jankowski who's yet to play a game in the nhl...

he is what he is right now, a defensive-minded fourth-liner...which is the role Bylsma has him in...plus he's only making $1.15 million...I don't see much of a problem with that
