he is what he is right now, a defensive-minded fourth-liner...which is the role Bylsma has him in...plus he's only making $1.15 million...I don't see much of a problem with that

how can you say he's great?...he's yet to make it to the nhl...if that's great girgensons' 230 games, 32 goals and 43 assists must be hall of fame material

It seems to be getting crowded on the roster ATM. with players coming back. Now just have to sort out the weak and unproductive players .

I'm one of the bigger supporters of Lioneater on this site....but if you want those 3 to play their game..you have to have good d-men to be able to handle a team beating the forecheck

I just think as awesome of a forechecking line as it could be...there will be a high possibility of the other team getting a quick pass to have a 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 breakout

They've also went from scoring 2.6 goals per game (18th in 2015-2016) to 3.3 goals per game (3rd this season)

But yes goaltending has been huge they gave up 2.93 goals per game in 15-16 (24th) and this year they are only giving up 2.07 goals per game (2nd).

Defensively they are giving up fewer shots per game as well.

Sounds to me like the team bought into Tort's style. Maybe just maybe continuity is a good thing...
