we have a lot of money tied up in blah, probably unmovable contracts (ennis, moulson, bogo)

for 2018-19 right now we have 6 players with contracts of 4.6 mil or more, ennis, moulson and bogo is 3 of them

I think he means next year they will have tons of space. That just ensures more turn over because none of their "stars" are due for new contracts, so a bunch of FA signings or trades. Not many FA signings have been that good in the last 10 years.
