Nope. I thought so as well, but when he was traded here his NMC was voided.

The only player Murray is forced to protect is Okposo, and that's a no-brainer anyway.

And with not having to protect the kids (anyone on an ELC as far as I understand) there's not a ton of guys that we have to be worried about protecting for the most part.

It's not like he doesn't work his ass off. Yes, he's ridiculously talented, but he definitely puts the time in as well. Pretty sure he's out there during the "O'Reilly Practices" as well.

If that's the case, I'm going to guess he is going to keep 8 skaters and a goalie. McCabe, Risto, Bogo (yes I think he'll freeze him) and Gorges. On offense O'Reilly, Kane, Okposo, and TBD.
