When I was at the Canucks/Sabres game in Vancovuer, Baptiste was noticeable on the ice. His speed really showed through. The kid has worked his tail off and produced in the AHL. Time to promote him and move Carrier off the top line. Move Carrier to the #3 line.
When Fasching and Bogo get back, we could actually have a solid line-up. Grant seems destined for Rochester. Lastly, where does Bailey fit into the Sabres future? Trade bait? |

I would be fine calling him up but our coach will destroy his confidence and then send him back to Rochester |

I hope so. I never saw in Bailey what others have. To me he looks like a career AHLer. Carrier, Bap, and Fasch have all surpassed him, and I would also rather see Rodriguez or Schneider up here over Bailey. Trade him while teams are still dumb enough to give us good value for him.

I think someone needs to pick a new team to root for. Being negative just for the sake of being negative is exhausting and counterproductive (not to say immature) |

Bailey looks to have a longer curve...he has great size and skates extremely well...his progression in junior was a three-year one culminating with 34 goals and 35 assists in 57 games for two OHL teams his final season |

and I believe someone said Tim Murray said no to a trade for him
so I think he's still safe |

All I meant about the Bills was is they're drugged out, half ass losers. Don't think about them. New England is winning the Super Bowl anyway. Great year to tune out of football. |

sure is...and there's nothing wrong with that...players develop at their own pace...if an organization can afford to be patient, it pays off dearly in the long run |

You got that right The patriots or another team lose a player they plug in another and they don't lose a step
but I think you're right I think they're going to win the Super Bowl too |

Yes, but why is he safe at this point? Carr, Bap, Fash, Bailey are all similar style players. Fast, grinders, bottom six material who at their peak may net 15 goals a year. There won't be enough room for all of them in the future and by next year we'll be seeing Asplund, Esteban, and Pu hitting Rochester. We need a defenseman, and if Bailey could be a solid piece in making that happen, I don't know why Murray would say no.
