Bylsma's solution to 2 periods of playing a trap defense was to start creating new lines by pulling names out of a hat.
We had 2 offensive zone faceoffs in the last minute of the game and he sent out Larsson to take them both.

Jack was 27% on the night and ROR was 30%. Larsson was 50%.

How did Carolina play? They played really poopty too. And they are a very underrated team that plays very good defense. They're 8th in the league in CF% 5v5. Corsi as a team is generally a better indicator than individual corsi. And we actually crushed them tonight 55 to 40 in shot attempts at 5v5, and it was 57.89 to 42.11 in CF%. So, no they really didn't play like poop. Or at least less poopty than Carolina, who despite their record is not a bad team like Colorado or Arizona or the Islanders, or the Sabres whom they have 2 more points than.

The point is yes we got 1pt but one less might be your playoffs

Is he? He's got 5 more points than Sam Bennett in 6 more games played. The only other guy remotely considered and actually ranked higher by the NHL. Draisaitl has 28 more points in 24 more games, ok that's a big gap, but the Oilers score more goals than the Sabres(30 more last year and this year put together). And after that it's not really fair to compare him to anyone because those guys had no chance at going top 5. Even Larkin has 2 less points in 6 less games. Ehlers has 4 more points in 12 less games, but again there's no way he was going top 5. So he's getting "killed" by one guy.

It's great to say "oh, look how good Pastrnak is" but he's European and unless they're Ovechkin, Malkin, Laine they're not going at the top of the draft.

I said draft class he was our 1st pick and the first forward taken he should be better then everyone or the same he's the 8 best player moving down each year

The only reason Laine did not go 1st he was not a centre that's it ..

I'm not criticizing him at all, just comparing him to a guy who's played a comparable amount of games that was ranked ahead of Reinhart. Gerbe said Reinhart is getting "killed" by his class when he's not really getting killed at all. He's not head and shoulders better, but he's far from getting killed. And I thought it was more about experience anyway? Age doesn't matter.
