9pts landy vs 21pts douche - cabin
Buy low on landeskoog - plus Dutch and ROR have bad blood. |

Blah blah, Duchene was mad O'Reilly wanted more money than him. I'm sure they're both well over whatever petty poop was bettween them back then. - chilliard77
It's a lot deeper than that...Duchene called him a bad leader. They didn't get along because both wanted to play center. That's why ROR wanted out of there.
I'm not putting Eichel or ROR at wing...So I don't want Duchene and his attitude.
But okay. |

Plus they played together on team Canada after that - chilliard77
That's not really the same, but I heard they squashed whatever it really was between them. Plus Duchene shoots left and plays all 3 forward positions too. |

Ask anyone on here - SABRES 89
Okay, you know someone who works for the Sabres. That's believable.
But, Tim Murray telling whomever that is what his plans are or who he wants? That's highly unlikely and not believable at all.
Plus, if Murray does want to do that, that worries me. Good teams aren't good from trading away all their picks and prospects. We already have cap issues. Eichel and Reinhart will need to be paid in 2 years. O'Reilly, Okposo and Ristolainen make good money. We'll have to pay for a goalie pretty soon, one way or the other. And I have a feeling, after 2 years of playing with Eichel starting next year, Nylander will need to be paid in 3 years.
The kids I mentioned (Bailey, Baptiste, Carrier, Fasching, etc), they are your depth, your cheap role players. That is what you need to make the playoffs and win a cup. We need to develop these kids into solid NHL players to off-set the expensive contracts we have.
That is what Pittsburgh and Chicago do, that's why they're so good every single year...and it's even more important for us since we don't have as good a chance as they do at signing college or european free agents.
And I think those kids are going to be very solid players.
If you want someone, buy low on a highly drafted player who has fallen out of favor on his team, like teams have tried to do with Kane and Girgensons.
(Plus, it's been said by numerous credible NHL sources that Murray does not want to give up on Evander Kane...who has been our most consistent scorer for the past 8 games, with 5 goals.) |

First of all I never said Murray is going for Duchene, all I said was Murray would make that kind of deal he's proven that already with Kane. another thing I said was is that people are reading to much into this Duchene thing . He can't afford to start depleting the farm system, he moved out trash that Darcy drafted that he didn't want. The AVS along with the Jets wanted Bailey in deals and Murray said no, just like he did when the Oilers wanted Risto for Hall, he said no. I never said he was trading Kane, he takes calls on Kane from other teams but he doesn't make calls about Kane. |

Maybe there is smoke where there is fire...so, hopefully it is an indication TM is searching for a top 6 LW....I'm down with that. |

Nylander is 4 years(including this year). Just so long as he doesn't play 10 games in Buffalo his contract won't start until next year, but then only if he plays in Buffalo for more than 9 games. After that it starts no matter what, so it could be up to 5 years including this year.
