I just hope Howard doesn't destroy me for calling his "team" bad.

Must've missed the joke here

I was going to say, that seems like an awful trade.

I'm very much hoping it was intended as a joke.

I fancy myself an expert on advanced sarcasm. Because that's how I live my day to day life.

He might be upset, but it is a fair assessment. Other than that one huge upset, DvG, they didn't win much. I mean, they got kicked out of the Egyptian league, then spent 40 years 'wandering the desert', which is almost as long as the Leafs have.

Different kind of players if you ask me... it's hard to compare the two....

Buddha was a pretty stable force, always playing a cool, calm and collected game. You can count on this guy and his teamates to be a wall on defense.

Jesus was a little more streaky.... always played for a very bad team and his early retirement at 30 didn't help his overall stats.... he did make a nice comeback though to finish things off.

- Scabeh

you nailed that one....

Maybe but hes probably been our best dman this year. Sadly Rielly has been nothing more than average. Probably due to playing match up.
- lightz39

Zaitzev has been better and Rielly has been as well. Jake just looks like he is at practice out there, the risky plays don't phase him, in some ways similar to Subban's extra spin move which 90% of the time isn't necessary. Gardiner has a ton of skill, as much as it gets him out of his own end most times, its the odd bone head play most fans remember.... almost like we expect better from him b/c he has the skill.

That's the frustrating thing with him. If he could just eliminate the boneheaded play or two a game he would be really (frank)ing good.

But I think it's safe to say at this point that that's just part of who he is. All the skill in the world, and a sub-70 IQ.

Poor Corrado. What would the list look like if he was still on the Canucks?

Won't get into the non-hockey stuff, but while you may disagree, the first two points are definitely not crazy.

What do you expect its HB. Plus once a week you have a crazy post as well. Everyone gets a turn.

Werenski and Marner are both going to be good players, after 30 games I wouldn't state which is better. Let them have one full season.

At this point, in a trade, I would say a one-for-one swap is pretty close.

Oh, I'm sure that there are dumber. Zach Kassian as one example.

Still, Jake likely isn't winning any nobel prizes any time soon...

Werenski has been better, and would have been the Calder favourite if the season ended today.

Yeah...I just can't see it. Gardiner has been better than years prior, but has been better than Rielly most nights? No.
