they've been trying that approach for 16 yrs and it's done nothing for them...I've no problem with them keeping ryan for another year as long as there's that vice prez over him and whaley and as long as he dumps his brother

No one cares Pysyk is gone. What people care about is that Murray identified two below average D men in Kulikov and Bogosian to be top 4 players here.

Not just analytics. They aren't smart hockey players. They also just flat out don't produce to what they cost for the salary cap.

Kulikov has looked pretty lost this season. I just think it's a combination of having 0 training camp with his new teammates in a new system, then getting injured just before the season and struggling through it for a few games before they finally shut it down. He gets some time to find his game.

I get that...totally...but I will say this much...bogo's injuries have kept him from playing the type of game he's capable, of which we saw against Carolina...he jumped into the play for a shot then used his speed to get back and absolutely plaster a 'Cane player into the boards...

although he'll never be nik lidstrom-smart, he's hardly a disaster, imo

and btw, give kuli a break already...he missed camp because of the world cup, was injured in preseason...came back too early and tried to play injured...all of this for a new team
