I know. My point is, you are reaching. The fact is, this current season, Bogo and Kulikov have not been good, which is pretty much how they have been during there careers to this point.

They are not rookies trying to find their way in the NHL, they are 7 year vets.

I find it odd that we afford those two (Bogo more than Kulikov) so much leniency and so many excuses, yet will throw Tyler Ennis in the trash who has pretty much the same issue

ennis has played so little he's not even been a thought as of late...the last blog was about records in under various circumstances and focused upon the return of Eichel, the sabres with a full compliment of top-six d-men and that dreaded period in November when injuries were decimating the club...

the only time they've had any real trouble was when Eichel was out and the defense was filling up with ahl'ers...could I have done one on kane...sure...they were 5-4-2 with him in out of the lineup...which is on pace for an 89 point season

I think it's safe to call Bogo and Ennis injury prone at this point, but Kulikov is different.

Bogo could be good if he wasn't constantly injured. Most defensemen make a boneheaded play a few times a game especially when they play 20+ minutes a game. He doesn't "get a pass". It's just frustrating, like Hanzal. Ennis is Ennis, a proven, talented player who hasn't been able to stay healthy the past few years. He doesn't get a pass either, but neither does he deserve to be run out of town.

All 3 players are crap but if you want them gone are going to have to sweeten the deal to move them. People aren't going to like that if that happens. Teams are always looking for a " Kulikov " at the deadline and i'm hoping he moves him.

I agree. I just don't get the need to defend guys that don't produce.

If they were good, there wouldn't be a debate.

Is anyone defending Girgensons anymore?

Guhle makes the roster next season ...book it
- 22sabresQ

Guhle has 6 goals in 8 games with the Prince George Cougars. He's finally on a good team and able to show his stuff. I am going to watch him and Devante Stephens (another Sabres prospect) early in the New Year. 89 - tell Murray he can't trade Guhle because SabreWest is going to watch him play in February in Kelowna.

I think that's part of the reason Murray grabbed him. His cap hit isn't stupid high and by the deadline his hit will be even less and teams will have more money to spend.

you mean if they were elite, there wouldn't be a debate...vanek produced...roy produced...Pominville produced but there were constant arguments over their worth...I can defend almost anyone including gus who's only making $1.15 m and is playing well in a defensive role

I was defending him at the beginning of the season, saying that he deserved at least 20 - 25 games to show he is still part of this team. I no longer defend him and would like to see him go. I through out a possible trade scenario the other day - Girgs for Lazar on Ottawa. Both need a change a scenery.

Just because they're not awesome doesn't mean they're crap. Just like the Bills are they a crap team? No, they're an average one. They(mostly) dominate the poopty teams and (mostly)struggle against the good teams.

Kulikov missed a lot of time early in his career, but I wouldn't call him injury prone.

I guess IMO it's just safe to say, they are what they are. Not guys you want playing big minutes on a contending team
