Since Murray took over he's added (not from draft picks) O'Reilly, Kane and Okposo to the top 6.


In that same time his best addition to the defense....was Brendan Guhle. That pretty much says it all

Well you have more forwards than D on your team and he did add Kulikov and Bogosian. You just choose to believe those are not notable or an upgrade. Guhle is not even his "best" addition because he currently does not even play in the NHL.

How many top 4 D men have been moved for a price you would have paid? The asking price for a true top 4 D man is very high. I do wish we add to our D, but it is not like we want an aging / past his prime guy, but a young D man with huge upside, those are not easy to come by.

Goals for % he's 16th among guys playing 100+ minutes

Edit- Brayden McNabb and Tyler Myers are 6th and 7th

Im sorry but way too many reports for me to believe otherwise. maybe its not him and its t-pegs but there's no way kane gets an extension unless he takes a relatively big pay cut.

Calling Guhle his best addition was more of a joke highlighting the fact that the NHL additions have been awful.

change the filter to 500 mins, otherwise you end up with a list of bottom pair guys being sheltered

I consider them decent players, maybe not an upgrade.

As far as Hamilton, his price was steep at 15th overall, 45th and 52nd overall picks for him, dont know that we had that kind of ammo to do so.

Petry, that was last year and he netted a second rounder. OK deal for that, I guess. (for a 29 year old, as we would want a younger guy)

I dont think getting Wiercoch or Petry would make Sabres fans that happy, Hamilton, of course it would but the cost would be high.

I guess what I am saying is that the price for good young D men is not that cheap.
