That's cool.
What does this have to do with Bylsma?

- ImThatGuy

Not much other than the coach can be a scapegoat for a bad team.

I remember being told Tortorella was done as a head coach, and that his shtick doesn't work anymore...
- buffalofan19

the thing with him and other hard-ass coaches is that it works for a short while and then players start tuning them out...maybe it'll be different this time

Who is to blame for the consistent coming out flat in games.
The coach or the players

- ImThatGuy

what if they're not thinking of firing rexie?

at the beginning of the season, how many pundits had the bills finishing any higher than 9-7, or even 8-8...not many save for overzealous fans like myself who thought that with the absence of brady for a game and maybe a little bit of luck, they could eek out a 10-6 record...however, the opening two losses pretty much took care of that

- Michael Pachla

yeah with these injuries, if ryan won out and goes 9-7, he should get a raise IMO

I still think they are talking to tom to be the gm, not the coach

at least that is what I am hoping

- homiedclown

I continue to believe Ryan isn't going anywhere, he has enough ammo in the injury bug to defend his position, especially if he wins out and the leadership on the team continues to be vocal about their support for him (Woods, Watkins, McCoy, etc).

I believe that if Caughlin comes in it is as Football Ops Czar and will have Whaley and Ryan reporting to him. Next season, if they still suck...the Whaley gets shot.

What are the chances that within the next 3 games, we here of a players only meeting on the Sabres.
Usually step 1 in the process which leads to the coach getting fired.

Watch him roll out a top line of grant/carrier/foligno so the other boys can watch how real hockey is played. Disco is a joke and his poop show should be over.

I think that both teams need vp's of operations to make sure russ Brandon is as far away from ops as they can get him...

I like the idea of coughlin coming in to be that...or polian, dependent upon how they ultimately want to define the franchise, but my choice would be coughlin

Sounds like they'll have a more convoluted power structure.

What keeps happening at one Bills drive is no one is actually in control or responsible. Did Whaley hire Rex? Or was it Brandon or Pegula? Did the GM fail the coach or did the coach fail the GM? Did the owner reach over everyone's shoulders and meddle? If so isn't everyone off the hook them? Who is responsible for the results? Don't know, so everyone's all going to play the game of 'Try and keep my job 1 more year cause it's worth 7 figures'.

Build a system for the players on the team and not implement players into a system. Coaching philosophy 101. Coaches who only have THEIR SYSTEM cant adapt. Play a system designed for your roster. We see this difference in coaching philosophies in all sports professional and amateur!!!
GMTM make the decision in which philosophy to go with!!!
Fire Bylsma or adapt to players on team and create the system.

None of us are in the room, so we don't "know"...however reports are that Peggy hired Ryan...with Brandon and Whaley conducting the "Search"...and Brandon feeding Ryan hints on how to snooze Peggy. So, Brandon unofficially I'd say.
