I think we could get a pretty good draft choice for fossil or molasses from a playoff team but of course the Sabres don't want to ruin a relationship or sour

if by molasses, you mean Moulson, I disagree. I don't think anybody will take that contract. At this point, I think we're better off taking the cap penalty and buying him out. He's too detrimental 5-on-5

He's actually not, possession wise, shots produced wise and shot suppression wise. He also makes his teammates better according to the old Hero Chart.

His production 5 on 5 could use an improvement but a guy that scores on the power play is a guy that scores on the power play.

I still see him or Ennis going to Vegas

If Lehner wants $6 million per then yes protect Ullmark, I still don't see any goalie from Buffalo being selected with the MA's, Bishops, of the world being out there.

pretty sure vegas needs to draft 3 goalies, so 1 or 2 will be prospects

He is basically a standard 3rd line winger according to the Hero Chart. A third line winger who scores a lot on the PP.

I am not a huge fan of the Hero Charts but it does tell you some interesting info.

anytime a goalie is over .92 save % for 2 straight years, the conversation shifts to north of 5 per IMO
