How's the tourney going? I'm working all day can't watch.

Sandstrom player of game for Sweden earlier. Bernhardt a nice apple and was generally solid as a puck moving depth d man.

Laczynski took a penalty. Which is good because now i know what his number is and can follow him from now on. They hadn't mentioned him at all up until that point
- Yosimar89

That pass on the breakaway for Latvia was also him

Maybe, maybe not. Hes still not fully physically developed. His listed 227 is fine for now, as i stated above but, for me, ideally, a 240-245 lean behemoth is what im hoping for
- KINGKENZO

Morin is very physically developed. He's a monster out there and rag dolls men while still being an excellent skater. He isn't putting on another 15+lbs without it being a detriment to his game. He's 230lbs....that's optimal and what most guys his size play at. You don't just put on weight to put on weight. At a certain point, heavier is not better and it's diminishing returns. Like I said, Hedman, Myers, Pronger -- all similar size guys and plus skaters -- hover around Morin's current weight. Konecny is 185lbs, should he balloon up to 200lbs just because?

Im not go MJL you but youre making statements that are false and asserting that theyre absolute. Ill take my knowledge in this arena over anybody on this board. hes not fully developed and nobody can say what his optimal playing weight is or whether added weight from this point will impact his mobility negatively

No, he hasn't. Had a rough first, but he's been very good all second period. He's playing as 4C with minimal ice time. He's a depth player and won't look as good as some of the other kids getting all the minutes. Been through this before with Morin and Sanheim.

He's showcased his great shot, good two-way instincts creating turnovers, smart playmaking, been good at the dot, very strong on the puck along the boards. This period has been excellent by him at 4C. Full stop.

So today's topic of endless argument is how much weight should Morin put on?
Really?

Dammit, I have a much more serious dilemma on my hands. Should I go with the 14 year old Balvenie or the 15 year old Glenfiddich solera reserve?

Decisions, decisions....

I swear I think its just becoming fashionable to find something negative to say about anything Flyers. Personally I thought his line got better as the game progressed and did a good job cycling the puck controlling play in the O zone.

Came close in the 13-14 and 14-15 seasons. Was on pace to break 45 points last year too but only played in 63 regular season games.
- Mordecai

Came close. Give him a participation medal. Never broke 40. Let me know when he does

Not sure what knowledge you claim to have, but are you actually stating that a man who is 6'7" and weighs around 230 lbs is not fully developed? His size and weight is not going to be a factor in how soon he makes it to the NHL full time.

Bill,

Do you see Lindbolm on Flyers roster next year, or will he need time w/Phantoms, assuming he comes over?

- flyguy12

Yes, I think he has a good shot at playing for the Flyers next year.

No, you jackass, I'm saying a 6'7", 230ish lb 20 year old kid is still not fully physically developed. I never said he needed to add weight to be able to play in the nhl. I've only said MY IDEAL dimensions for him would be a lean 245

How did they neuter Coots?

Cant have it a million ways..He is a good defensive player so they had him play a defensive game where, not including this season, he was able to produce points at a fairly consistent basis.

Coots isnt the kind of player you build a team around but he is a very key part in a team being successful. Looking forward to him getting back.

You made the comment. Where do you get these ideal dimensions from? I'm sure Morin could sit back and eat pizza, ice cream, and whatever else he wants and gain plenty of weight. I think the reality is that one, I don't think you're considering what gaining that much more weight could possibly do to affect his agility and mobility, and mainly, you're just pulling that IDEAL weight out of a hat. 230 lbs is plenty of playing weight for Morin. He doesn't need to gain more weight.
