Where do you get these ideal dimensions from? I'm sure Morin could sit back and eat pizza, ice cream, and whatever else he wants and gain plenty of weight. I think the reality is that one, I don't think you're considering what gaining that much more weight could possibly do to affect his agility and mobility, and mainly, you're just pulling that IDEAL weight out of a hat. 230 lbs is plenty of playing weight for Morin. He doesn't need to gain more weight.

Stick to the CBA, Wormser, you're out of your element discussing nutrition, proper weight and agility training

I only saw the 3rd, but from what I saw he played fine. Kid can skate
- BiggE

3rd was just a slow pace at 5v5 and he didn't get many shifts. 2nd period he was great. 1st he had a bad penalty and bad blind pass. It's like my 4th time seeing him, so I have a decent feel to his game. It's just really hard if this is your first exposure to a player to judge them based on 4th line minutes at WJC....let alone one bad 1st period. All the people who just saw Sanheim for 1st time last WJC were saying he sucked.....but you know how it goes. Lacyznski was fine, and like nastyflyergirl said, got better as game went on.

Skating is actually his biggest weakness though. Needs power skating lessons pretty bad to improve acceleration. But his top end speed is fine. Very intelligent player who makes good reads all over the ice. Dangerous wrist shot. Solid passer. Strong on puck in boards/cycle game. Can seamlessly play C or W. Very Hakstol-esque prospect. One of those kids with a potentially sneaky ceiling with some work.

Kase has been really good for first time back since punctured lung, I think. Small but my lord is he always a tenacious pitbull out there. He's every bit like Konecny in that regard, just not as skilled.....but still skilled! He's a fun tyke.

May I call you a "cotton-headed ninny muggins".....or is that beyond the pale?

Hopefully you've been watching WJC all day. I expect more reports.

a Canada vs Sweden game in the crossover round would be interesting with Hart vs Sandstrom. has an organization ever had 3 goalies participate in the WJC?

I feel like he didn't play much in terms of minutes but was super effective every single minute. As I said, he was recovering from a punctured lung and this was his first game back. He was real touch and go if he'd even play. Not a surprise his minutes were managed tightly. Hexy when he drafted him called him a "pitbull in a poodle's body," and it's so accurate. Kase is small but his heart and skill aren't. His development the last 2 years hasn't been ideal, and he's just been kind of forgotten.

I like him a lot. Hopefully his feet catch up. I see enough where I think they can. Earlier actually I was talking about how Hextall has drafted a lot of players late with brains and skills but who need skating work (Laczynski, Lindblom, Vorobyov, Fazleev). It's how you find some gems. You really can't ask for more as a recent 6th round prospect. He's the leading scorer for Ohio State too.
