She only realizes her powers during the interrogation because she's never had to use them until then, she's a scavenger her whole life. She's a good pilot, but she probably just figured that was normal.

I said straight out that it is hard to find gems in later rounds, but they're there. And, I only used Debrincat as a possible example of the sabres possible choices from who was available

The point was... we have made 15 picks in the second and third rounds since 2012, that's a lot. We need to hit on some, not just McCabe. I know it's early and guys need time to develop, maybe Guhle will also be a gem, it looks that way, but we'll see. But in a few years from now, if McCabe is the only one to pan out from 15 picks, than yes, they failed and they drafted like chit.

Since 1995, the average seasons of development it takes a top 2-5 pick in the first round is over 4 seasons. How much longer do you think it logically takes a lower pick in the first round, let alone picks in the 2nd, 3rd, and even lower rounds?

Yes there are outliers, and yes it'd be great if the Sabres had one (hello McCabe, and possibly Guhle, among 4 forwards in the AHL), but the reality is this is the 4th season of development for the 2012 draft.

HUGE SPOILERS FOR THE NEW STAR WARS:






Rey is the reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker, who himself was the reincarnation of "The one": The first HUMAN Jedi.

I say this because, and I'm completely being serious, the first Jedi was a tree that had a high amount of force energy.

The first people who discovered this were children. That they could jump higher, play harder, run faster around the tree.

Well, the one child gets corrupted by the Dark Side and burns the tree down or some poop and with the tree's last gasp of life, it gives all of it's force powers to the other child, who become engulfed in the light side and becomes the "chosen" one meant to bring balance to the force, now that a young person embedded with dark side energy is roaming the galaxy.

The New Order has a seedling from this tree held on a medical Star Destroyer and they are studying it. Luke was after this seedling when Kylo fell to the dark side and he blamed himself for it and went into exile.

Rey was a student at his academy who was astute in the force and he hid her on an isolated, desolate planet, surrounded by people who are not only NOT sensitive to the force, but aren't imbued with it.

Fast forward to Episode VIII: Rey tries to confront Luke about him being her father and he says "No, you are my father" and explains to her the prophecy of the "Chosen One" and he proves this by summoning the force ghost of Anakin Skywalker (reprised by Hayden Christensen).

Anakin goes on to explain that the "chosen one" is always reborn through immaculate conception via the Force itself. And the "chosen one" is and always has brought balance to the force.

How did Anakin bring balance? The Jedi were corrupt, numbering in the tens of thousands. They were getting inner-twined in politics, influencing elections and civics and waging wars.

There were about 2 sith when this was going on. Maybe a handful more.

With the death of Dooku, a new apprentice was needed and in fact, the emperor influenced Obi-Wan's ambition to train Anakin so he could be groomed to take the place of the aging Dooku.

When Anakin fell to the dark side, he detroyed the Jedi order. After his fall, there were 2 known Jedi and 2 known Sith.

The force was completely balanced until Luke (frank)ed everything up. Luke brought imbalance, the Empire resurfaced as the New Order, his Jedi Academy was an absolute failure and he hid himself knowing that he (frank)ed it all up.

I'm 100% serious, y'all. But I hope I'm wrong.
