He had 35 points last season. Up until 11 games ago, he was brutal to start this year.
I'm willing to see where this goes with how good he's been, in the role I thought he's fit for - sbroads24
He is playing like we hoped he was all labeled to be . |

I said if he continues at this pace you could get something of value for him Did I not ? so you lose him in the expansion draft for free that make sense - GERBE!!!75PTS
He's not trading him and with the direction this team is going why would you subtract him and not add to him, forget about the draft. |

The line to the bridge will get long no matter what this team does, we keep him they flip out, we trade him, the return doesn't work out and people here will be on suicide watch. - SABRES 89
No matter what the return is it's not going to be the value we paid for him everyone knows that |

No he isn't, because we gave up Myers and Armia and they have done so much for the Jets . |

I know you saying he's not going to trade him but things can change he's probably on thin ice . And he's playing good now he was hot garbage in the beginning of the year that's why the rumors came out that he was getting moved but Vancouver passed on It |

Please provide proof of this because it doesn't make any sense. Just going back to 2005, all of the players selected round one 2-5 were producing in the first two seasons since being drafted. Any player drafted 2-5 overall that needs 4+ years to still develop is a bust, not a player.
But since you say 2nd and 3rd rounders need an eternity to develop, than let's look at what we drafted 5-10 years ago (2011-2007 in rounds two and three.) Catenacci, Leduc, Sundher, Mackenzie, McNabb (I've acknowledged him) Adam, Feinhage, Brennan, Schiestel, Tropp
But, you'll come back with, they don't count since we're talking about only 2012 - 2016, right? Because the organizations history doesn't matter apparently. So do you really think that out side of maybe Guhle there is much who is going to develop into quality? We selected Hurley, Karabacek, Cornel, Kea... these guys will never see the NHL. We dumped Compher. And, in reality, Bap, Bailey, Carrier, and Fasching are 3rd, maybe even 4th line grinders, none of them have produced at the NHL level.
We do not have a history of drafting and developing well. Period. We all hope for the best and that our luck will change. But outside of Guhle, there is nothing in our system drafted rounds 2-7 that leads to believe otherwise, it's just wishful thinking. - sskkoo1
1 in 20 outside of the 1st round. That's about the odds of "hitting" on a player. In places slightly more and in places slightly less. But generally it's a 5% chance of finding a player that can contribute. A player like Marcus Foligno is considered a hit. Yes, it happens, but far, far less than a lot of people make it out to. There are 211ish guys drafted every year, sometimes 212, sometimes 210, once 213, but go back and tell me how many from each draft class actually make a difference for any length of time. |

Again, it takes picks 2 through 5 four plus seasons to reach their respective full development, which for some is 40 points a season while others are much higher.
Lower 1st round picks take longer, and picks in the 2nd round and beyond longer.
My point is guys like Fasching, Bailey, Carrier, and Baptiste can all make an impact and produce as bottom 9 players at the NHL level, while not costing much against the cap, and those should be considered quality picks, but it doesn't seem like that fits your view. - kingcong39
Yes, and my point is we don't have a history of drafting and developing well going back 47 years. Just because we started a rebuild in 2012 and Daddy Warbucks showed up in 2011, what do we have that will or has changed? Guhle? We all hope he's great, but he has 3 NHL games under his belt, so lets not pencil him in just yet.
Bap, Bailey, Carrier, and Fasching will all be bottom six grinders if they stick at the NHL level. None of them or ever going to have a great impact for our team, and two of them aren't even our picks, we had to pay for them.
There's always talk of the next wave of guys to develop and it gradually it fizzles out. Remember Possler and the high hopes on him? There was even talk of Victor Olofsson for a while. Even our 1st rounders are more bust than success stories.
Look, we all have hope and I don't want to sound too pessimistic of the future, but I've seen over 30 seasons worth of the past, so I'm not that naïve to think that just because Cliff Pu is having a hellva season in juniors, it's just a time formality until he'll be kicking a$$ for us in the future. |

What's wrong with it is that it completely destroyed all EU, canon and source material by completely going against almost everything the original 3 and following prequels established. - BeadyEyedDouche
Meh, I don't really care about that, I'm not that into it. As long as it's entertaining that's all I care about.
As long as no one gets into a shootout in an elevator but can hear perfectly fine afterward, I'm good to go. That's the thing that really sticks in my craw about movies. Only once have I seen a movie actually do it right. In "My Fellow Americans" James Garner shoots a gun inside a helicopter and Jack Lemmon yells at him. |

Why do people want this guy gone ? because of his off ice issues ? this makes no sense, he fits in fine here. I just don't get it. - SABRES 89
No, they think he sucks because he only scores 20 goals and that he once scored 30 so he should do it every year. |
