The entire reason the linesmen stepped in was because Carrier wasn't ready for it. They should've disengaged when it was clear neither had any intention of stopping, but still you don't get to complain when you come off the bench to jump a guy.

I don't know, he's certainly in the running, but during Matt Cooke's days in Pittsburgh those guys were just like "he was just finishing his hit!" "he's just misunderstood!" "he's not a dirty player!" It's bad. I think they went off on the Marc Savard hit too, like it was somehow Savard's fault.

Edit: It wasn't the Savard hit. It must've been another one of the 30.
