And Buddy Nix got his guy in Spiller. Literally in his first press conference Buddy Nix said he wanted a "quick as a waterbug" running back. I remember that, because it's kind of an odd thing to say. But we had Fred Jackson and was Lynch gone before the draft? I don't remember, but either way we had absolutely no reason to draft a RB, let alone in the first round at number 9. If he was a puppet he wouldn't get his guy, unless of course you're going to say they both wanted the same guy. Which is stupid because we had no need of a RB.
