Correct. And Pysyk is getting more minutes there than he did here. He's averaging over 18 a game (with several games recently being over 20), as opposed to the 15 he was getting here. - HonkFortheGoose
Great point. Remember the future
Ristolainen
Myers
Zadorov
Mcnabb
Mccabe
Pysyk. Who wouldn't want that right now.
Th players in return
Kane bogosian oreilly deslauriers, kulikov and fasching. Can we please have a due over. Take zadorov it and keep oreilly, but honestly 8 million for 8 years for a 20 goal scorer, what will jack want |

If that's the case, Murray needs to be fired. Yesterday.... - HonkFortheGoose

So let's make the team worse now for a bottom 6 guy later?

That, and for like the 100th time, Murray was not guaranteed Asplund when he made the trade, we were still waiting for picks to be made. Hell, Asplund could have been there when we picked |

How is that even rationale. Isn't it to win now. So we take on 3.5 mill extra for a bad dman. Give up a very good 4th defenseman, so we can get a second rounder who has a 16% chance of playing in 4 years..wow. So when kulikov is traded, falk, franson or gorges takes that spot. Genius |

It's funny, because really, I didn't think Kulikov looked bad during the first stint of the season, before he ended up sitting with the injury from pre-season. But since he's been back, he's been a MESS.
I'm not sure if it has to do with them pairing him and Bogo together and both of them coming back in off injuries, but damn. Burgdoerfer looked better. |

Totally agree. Lets be honest, all these superstars we have drafted in the last 12 years, that we keep waiting for. Asplund will be in the heap with all the rest |

Doesn't matter. He still made the team worse for this season.
Maybe I'm crazy, I just don't see how Kulikov would ever be considered to be a better overall player than Pysyk.
My eye test tells me Pysyk is clearly a better player. Perhaps I'm crazy, but I don't think I'll ever understand that trade. |

I actually like Asplund. But Pysyk was already a decent NHL'er.
Was he as great as what the WGR boys touted him as? No, was he decent, definitely |

He thought the same about mcnabb. Before he injured his collarbone,he was number two dman on the kings. But he couldn't crack timmys top 6. How do these guys get jobs running teams |

Considering that I don't think Pysyk really got a fair shot last year under Bylsma, we didn't really get a chance to see if he could do more.
And god knows the years before that under Nolan he got screwed because of the tank and kept getting sent to Rochester. |

It's hard to compare the McNabb thing in a way though. Yes, he plays with Doughty, but he's definitely not the Kings #2 D-man. They pair their guys up a bit differently there. |

Jack is a very good player ,who fell because of the tank. That wasn't genius drafting. Unfortunately we didn't get the superstar in mcdavid. Ristolainen was Darcy's one pick out of 100 bad ones |

Don't give Darcy credit for Risto. That was 100% Devine. |

It seems that Bylsma is scared of his defense corps as a whole (as am I). He needs to figure out that he can't mask how bad it is anymore. Just run and gun and try to win games 5-4, like the Ottawa game when Eichel returned and the Detroit game somewhat. The only thing us that you might leave Lehner out to dry, and it might set him off, but who cares at this point. Harrington hit the nail on the head last week. This team is bad AND boring. |
