IMO, they need to get Moulson,Bogo,Kulikov, Franson, D-lo, Gionta all out and get in more speed and skill.

Ceci's stats this year are horrific.

Of all those you named, I think the only one that would be fine coming back would be Gionta, assuming a 4th line role at $2M or so for one season.

There's definitely a few guys in the lineup that do not have very good wheels. Moulson and Franson most specifically. Gorges leaves a lot to be desired as well. But really, other than those guys, the rest are average and then a few above average, like Carrier, Kane and Eichel. Even Gionta (as old as he is) still has some pretty serious wheels.

The problem is that none of them get to use their even average skating ability because the passing on this team is absolutely horrendous.

It's as if the entire team is coached to just get it out of the zone when they are on defense and just get it in to the offensive zone when they are on offense.

Seems like anybody holding on to the puck for even a few seconds is going to be frowned upon by the coach.

I hate that style. Horrible to watch.
