yeah because the flyers inability to score in the shootout is Mason's fault. i seriously dont know if you are a troll or you're this ridiculous

Yeah, they really played like poop tonight...

Didn't say they played bad. It's a results business. Losses are piling up one after another. If you had to guess when they pass those juggernaut Blue Jackets, you know the team everyone picked to win the Division when do you think it will be?

maybe the goalie they go against is just better how can you not understand that
surely the flyers couldn't score in all of those 41 losses mason had

- 2Real

they are dreadful in the SO dating back to before Mason and its been largely because of their inability to score.

They better figure it out and fast. Their 9 point lead in the wild card is now 3. Frustrating.

Tampa wins and it's 1 and toronto has 3 games in hand.

I know, sorry about that.

They were close, if Simmonds lifts that puck, game over.

Strong effort by the Flyers, and a big point earned with a great 2nd period comeback. I'll take it!
- MJL

It's not so much the fact that they came back. I agree, it could have been a regulation loss for sure. But they had a lead in St. Louis in the 3rd, complete no show in SJ, and then put up 55 shots and still lose. That's after a listless 4-0 loss to the Devils. It's hard to look at the positives. Hopefully they come out pissed against the Rangers.

Not hard for me. When a team gets in a little bit of a funk, like they've been, you look for signs of the team coming out of it. Lots of signs of that tonight. We'll see next game. The Flyers skated hard, and battled hard tonight. They'll win a lot of games playing like that.

It's actually both their inability to score and inability to stop shots. That's how you become the worst shootout team in history.

Good game, they seemed to turn it around against a good team. Stealing a point on the road, multiple comebacks. More shots than last few games combined. Good game to build on.
- MBFlyerfan

Agree. Lots of positives and they really brought it. Mase bounced back solidly after a bad goal in the first. Just wish we hadve gotten two points.

Outshoot the opposition 55-25 and lose for the 6th time in 7 games and you will take it?

The Cleveland Browns should hire you. You would be perfect as their hype man.

the juggernaut blue jackets who are leading the NHL in points? the Flyers are exactly what I expected them to be, a borderline playoff team

What was the consensus on the Blue Jackets before the season? Are they exactly where you would expect them to be? Is it possible to play above expectations?

They won't be passing the jackets this year. I also don't see them winning the cup. I want the flyers to make the dance again and keep developing.

i expected them to make the playoffs last season but they ended up having a disaster of a injury ridden season. i think they come back to earth to a degree but they do have a solid roster. look at the defense they have built.

the last three games prior to this one were awful but they played much better tonight. they obviously still need to be better defensively. they give up way too many quality chances

BLue Jackets lead the league in points and have won 15 in a row..
It doesnt really matter what the consensus is , as you said , its a results based business.

That's the penguins way. Tank for 10 years and hope to win the lottery. Works for them. Don't think the flyers are intending to go that way.

I like their personnel. I didn't see many people picking them for the playoffs. What they've done so far this year is amazing.

I think the 10 game winning streak for the Flyers skewed my expectations a bit. I like you thought they would be a borderline playoff team which is what they are. These losing streaks are frustrating. Wednesday is a must win imo.
