Im not sure why you guys are so surprised. Your young players Eichel, Reinhart, and Risto cant develop fast enough to keep up with the erosion of the old farts like Moulson, Gionta, Georges..etc, and all your players in tneir primes (RoR, Kane, Bogo) all missed time due to injury.
Also, your goalie sucks.
I like last year the Sabres overachieved. Theyre not good enough to compete yet.

Any franchise that has won a Cup in the last 10 years has my respect. You always pay for a cup down the road, for them to still be competitive is incredible.

I'm dubious, and if I'm trading Reinhart, I'd make it a bigger deal to bring back more certainty, if that is possible.
