I would consider trading everybody except Eichel, Risto, Nylander and Guhle.
Do ROR and Okposo have No Movement Clauses? If not, I would see what we could get for them - but only trade them for premium returns.
I'd like to see a full youth movement for the Sabres. What's another couple years at the bottom at this point?
GMTM was a fool to accelerate the rebuild. - Losman
That is literally the worst idea I've ever heard.
ROR career stats: .61 points per game
This season: .67 points per game
Remind me again how bad he is? He's literally playing better. Okposo is the furthest thing from a problem, the only guy who can hold onto the puck other than Eichel, and you want to get rid of him.
You want to go full Oilers, which we know takes forever to work and you need to get incredibly lucky to have 4 of 6 first overall picks with one the best in 10 years. Get a grip dude, I know you're disappointed, we all are, but that doesn't mean blow it up and get rid of even the good players on the team.
Obviously you'd trade any player for "premium" returns. That means nothing. |

So .06 PPG means he's playing better?
And his career PPG includes his first 155 NHL games where he only scored 52 total points.
He's had seasons of .80 ppg, and .84 ppg. |

In a word, no. 7-9 is not good, but it's not 1-15 or 2-14 they'll pick somewhere around 14. Bottom half for sure, but not "stink" unless stink is anything less than a winning record, in which case you need to get a better definition.
But it's a new year, and I've decided not to engage with trolls, it'll probably only last a week or two, but we'll see how it goes. I don't count Broads as a troll, not even close, because, though we do disagree on most everything, he at least brings logic. |

They can keep Cardale, he's nothing but a 3rd string for the immediate future anyway. They should at least see what they have with him first. If EJ wants something around the minimum he's fine as a backup. I haven't got the slightest clue who they're going to bring in that will be better than Tyrod, but we'll see. And if someone says Mike Glennon I'm going to puke. Romo's not coming here either. |

Justin Faulk. For Reinhart - sbroads24
I didn't realize Jake Bean was a Hurricanes pick as well. I wonder if they'd be more likely to move Hanifin than Faulk considering he eats up more minutes and is on a pretty good cap hit long term. |

Bandito, I enjoy most of your posts, but stay away from QB evaluations.
EJ is a 4th stringer at best, he sucks...can't hit a guy so wide open it is embarrassing...and his throws are so off target the WR's have alligator arms "trying" to catch them so they don't suffer a career ending injury...he is the absolute worst QB I have seen...and I'm 59...been watching for 48 years.
Jones, eh what do you expect...first real action since preseason...he doesn't even run the practice squad...so I get it...very raw and needs 2 years of grooming before he is ready for prime time. Even with that, he looks more promising than EJ.
That said, I'm sure Whaley thinks EJ was great. |
