I'm liking what i've seen from Bernhardt... 7th round pick? Talk about what's looking like a steal. Kid has very nice size, and skates very well.
Also he's got 7 points, in 21 games for Djurgårdens. A Dman, at 19 years of age probably not getting that much ice time, putting up those numbers against men? In his first year in the SHL? Yeah i'll take it. - Yosimar89
Needs a lot of work on two-way play but has tools. Loves to shoot the puck, too, and usually puts it on net. |

Agreed. I'm going to the game this afternoon so I should get a look at him again, and hopefully both goalie prospects! - TheGreat28
He lit up the Junior league last year with 38 points in 45 games!
If he keeps developing the prospect defensive core starts looking even more ridiculous. This would also allow Hexy to trade one of them for some offense.
You're missing out on Vorobyov assisting everywhere! Yeah unfortunately i don't see Hart getting the start, he was shaky in his 2 starts, looks like he lost the job to Ingram. |

So, was at the relegation game today. I was really impressed with Latvia. They had a spunky squad that really hung in there against a more-skilled Finnish squad. The Finns Dmen made a lot of unforced errors and the forwards tried to make too many pretty plays and ended up often making one pass too many.
But a player to watch at the draft is #34 Kristian Vesalainen, a big power LW for Finland. Scored the GWG and won Player of the Game honors. His goal was actually just a low pass-shot from the point that deflected in. He also had a really heady play backchecking on a failed clear to break up a 2 on 1. |

Blues fans are pretty cool too. They've never won a Cup and haven't been in the finals since 1970, yet they are extremely loyal and supportive. We may whine about not winning a Cup since 75, but 8 trips to the finals in 50 years is nothing to sneeze at. - BiggE
It's crazy, meanwhile the buildings are empty in places like New Jersey, Anaheim and so many more. |

He didn't seem to have a big shot, but very accurate, low and usually generated potential for deflections. |

Sounds a bit like Sanheim no?
Bill any suggestions on where to watch SHL games for free? |

Rubtsov with his biggest contribution in the tournament for Russia, taking a stick to the face and getting his team a 4 minute PP.
Hopefully he can come back. |

I was disappointed about Hart. With Myers out I may watch the game tonight at a bar. The tickets for that one are really expensive. I got center-ice seats in section 113 for $12 US for the relegation game. For the SWE-Slovakia game I paid $50 for tickets in section 112. But the Canada game is obviously much more expensive. |

Interesting, the guys I talked to last night were not very high on Rubstov or Morin. Generally raved about our system though . Really liked Lindblom and Sandstrom. |

Using Provorov is what would make no sense. He didn't take them in Junior. And Couturier has a better shootout record than Schenn.
Couturier 2/16
Schenn 1/12
Konecny 0/3 - Feanor
Is 2/16 really better than 1/12? Looks like 4 extra chances to me.
Cousins was getting a push for awhile, Hakstol could give Konecny the same vote in confidence. |

Yeah, my best memory of the trip! Hoping to see them again tonight at the bar after the Canadian game. I'm curious what they thought about the Finns today. Needless to say, a very disappointing tournament for the squad. |

Haven't really been able to get anything out of German this tournament, the guy has been used so little. I think we'll see Morin up with the big boys next year so we'll see.
What Lindblom is doing in the SHL makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Sandstrom has look studly but hasn't really faced much opposition, can't wait till they get to the semis. |

Saw Myers get rocked and draw a major. Any update since leaving the game? |

Unfortunately I have to leave tomorrow so I'll miss the semi's and finals. Was hoping to catch the Soviet squad and see Rubstov play. |

Wow. Didn't know any of this. Bad luck not getting the first pick. My gripe was JVR was traded when his value was at it's lowest. In theory the trade made sense. At the time dealing from an area of strength to address a glaring weakness. - PLindbergh31
Speaking of JvR, Eklund has Philly interested in bringing back JvR. Mixed feelings about this. He doesn't strike me as a force but he's been an unbalanced team offense for so long, I'm interested in seeing what he could bring with G and Jake. He's a good shootout player and I think he's better than anything we currently have on the left side. I'm just not sure if he's a legitimate top line player. |

Well I don't know what Morin is showing other than projecting to a possible 3rd pairing NHL Dman. I wouldn't guess any scout or GM would be excited about that from a #11 overall. |

First, Morin get's rag dolled by a smaller player, 2nd Myers get's concussed, and now German gets sticked to the face.
This franchise is becoming a bunch of wimps. |

He'd be an upgrade, but, as always, it will come down to what will it take to get him. |

I don't see it happening. JVR is a streaky player. He's similar to Schenn in that regard. He's better than Schenn, but he's one of those players that when he isn't scoring he's not helping you in any other ways. |
