The fact that Hak hasn't really been using anyone consistently except Giroux and Cousins makes me think he's still searching. He does seem to use Simmonds more often now.
I'd like to see him pick an order and stick with it all season. I feel the players would perform better if there was a routine. - PhillySportsGuy
I agree. I would like to see G V 17 TK Ghost Schenn Read... then pull from a hat |

again, we do not know what the coaches see/ dont see during SO practice.
Additionally, if Schenn does not score on his additional attempts the margin becomes even larger. - missingmike
We don't know if we have a shootout practice. |

Probably because he's never been a regular shootout player before and they have better options in the forwards.
I have no idea what you have seen from Provorov that makes you think he would be good at shootouts. - Feanor

Read is 1 for his last 13 attempts. - Feanor
So three attempts than Coots. I would like to shorten that margin as well. |

Cousin got the top spot for the past calendar year presumably because he was good at them in practice. Unfortunately, after going 3/5 in 14-15 and 15-16, he's 0/5 in 16-17. |

Three fewer attempts, half as many goals. |

Using your assumption we do not know if they practice many aspects of the game. |

Lots of dmen have good hands at their position. Almost none of them are shootout regulars. |

Just curious.
What were James can't Riemsdyk's shootout numbers when he was here (and likely not being used) and what are his attempts since playing in Toronto?
I ask because not everything done here in Philly, doesn't mean they're always the right decisions. Plenty of players on the bench. |

You're already answering the questions not asked, I thought you could answer a question someone actually did ask. What are you afraid of? |

Thank you sir. A little surprised by this. In 2013 I watched closely, it was as if he couldn't miss. |

JFC, outside of G, Jake, Simmer and Ghost (who is a Dman by the way), no one else seems to score in the SO so yeah, it may be a bit unorthodox, but I'd give Provy a try once they get to a 5th shooter. |

We easily need depth on the left side, it's not even close. - roenick97
All depends on where you see Schenn and Konecny for that matter. The big thing is there's no one coming up next year at center. Lindblom is coming at some point next year on the LW.

There are plenty of centers available in this year's draft. Sure it's considered weaker but we will have the opportunity to restock that position. I would seriously consider trading our 1st this year. |

Unless the Flyers are targeting someone in UFA. There is a hole in the lineup for a middle 6 center spot. It won't be filled internally this year or next by anyone realistically. So yes there's a definite need it will be interesting to see how they plan to address it.

If anyone can find fault with a top 9 with these as wingers, they are just looking to complain:
Lindblom-Voracek
Konecny-Simmonds
Raffl-Schenn
That looks great on paper. Just need to get a 3C in a trade with expansion leaving some good players available or maybe a UFA. That's the only weakness in the forward group, not at wing. Then you can have Leier-Weise/Read or something on the 4th line. |
