Do you have some sort of crystal ball that told you this is how this season was going to go? Because when I paid for my part of my season tickets, this is not what I expected to see. I didn't expect them to be Stanley Cup contenders, but I did expect them to be competing for a playoff spot, as I'm sure the majority of the rest of the season ticket holders thought.
Again, it's easy for the people who don't go to games to tell those of us that do to stop going or stop buying our tickets and all that because you're not losing anything in the first place by saying "I'm just not going to go."
When you stop buying your Center Ice subscription and stop watching altogether, maybe your argument will have a leg to stand on. - HonkFortheGoose
I know several people who are considering giving up seasons. its just not worth it to them anymore.
They say it is not fun anymore, and the prices are getting a little absurd for the product performance.
I unfortunately don't see this getting better any time soon.
This falls squarely on Murray. He has made a lot of questionable moves. |

Why don't you calm down, we are having a talk here that is all, you are jumping on me and Ray. But you're right people shouldn't expect much with the Bills and Sabres so by all means, keep throwing you money away.
I was born and raised in Buffalo and my family had Bills and Sabres season tickets, not anymore, why spend money year after year to see this kind of crap when your owner claims how the sweeping changes will benefit both teams. |

2 of my friends gave up seasons this year. Good thing is at this rate, there won't be a waiting list by the time they are good again!
And its only a 4% increase every year, even though we continue to finish at the bottom of the league! I think that is more than fair! |

http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2...gula-doug-whaley-rex-ryan
" It’s OK if the power structure is such that the head coach and GM both report to the owner; that is how many other NFL franchises operate. But if that’s the case, then the Pegulas shouldn’t send Whaley out to explain a firing that wasn’t his call. There should also be a clearer vision going forward. It’s fine if you don’t think Rex Ryan is the right coach to turn things around, but at least tell your fans (and prospective hires) what you are looking for. Whaley said that critical organizational pillars, such as who controls the 53-man roster, will be hammered out in the interview process. And if you don’t want to move forward with Taylor, that’s OK too. But you shouldn’t sideline him or marginalize him in the locker room without having a plan for who will take over at the most important position on the field."
The more stuff comes out, the more Pegula and Brandon look like the bad guys.

You talk about season ticket holders well they shouldn't be spending money, hard earned money on this kind of crap year after year and if they do, they shouldn't complain about it, not saying they do. Like you said, throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars at this team and seeing the same crap year after year, it has to change. - SABRES 89
I agree.
I'm not telling people not to go to games, watch or buy merch, but, if you're fed up of the same ol' story. No real changes made. Then that may be the only way for the changes to be made you want to see. |

Hopefully Bailey, Baptiste and Nylander are good fits for the top 6.
Bitter sweet that we may end up with another very high draft pick this year. - ImThatGuy
Bailey and Baptiste top 6 material? Not if we ever want to compete. |

And at least the other poopty teams have events and things for the fans. The Bills and Sabres season ticket holders get absolutely nothing on the ice/field or any events or give aways either. The only thing that was fun when i was a kid was the Sabres carnival, they even did away with that. The entire organization from top to bottom for both the Bills and Sabres are a complete failure. They would of been better off moving out of state than the Pegulas buying them. And that is hard to say. |

You can add me to the list. The majority of the reason is because with work, it's gotten harder for me to get there without feeling like I'm rushed. Add in the fact that when my group started getting the tickets in the 06-07 season, it cost 1/2 as much as it does now. At some point, even if the team is doing well, it's just too big financial and time commitment.
It was one thing when I worked a retail job and my schedule was easier to shuffle around. Now, there's time I'm not able to leave work right at 5 so getting there on time is hard. Or the fact that some games have gone pretty late (the Ottawa game in November for example) and I'm not getting home until after 11 and have to be up and functional to sit at the desk all day the next morning.
I also didn't have a dog when I first got the tickets. There's days now when I have to leave him in his crate pretty much all day when I'm at work and then at the game. It makes me feel terrible.
Add in the fact that the product is not good, and it makes it a pretty easy decision. |

I'm just saying, nothing proves a point or makes a point like an empty arena or a empty stadium. I really never ever thought after Pegula saved both teams that we would be in this position. |

Got in a Facebook argument with a friend about the Sabres last night. I feel bad for the guy because I was putting the team down pretty hard and I think he was taking it personal. Then I remembered that he's a season ticket holder and just had a baby a little over a year ago. He can't admit the Sabres blow otherwise his wife will make him get rid of the tickets. So he just has to drive the fan boy train. |

I'm perfectly calm. I'm just trying to explain to those of you who don't have tickets to the games why it's easy for you to say "Don't go."
You still subscribe to Center Ice, correct? If so, then you really shouldn't be criticizing any of us that go to the games. We've already spent the money, so we're not exactly going to just stop going right now.
Do you typically purchase things and then just throw them out? Because that's what you're asking those of us that have season tickets to do right now. |

I heard Colorado wanted Bailey, I think in the ROR trade. I don't see what the hype is with this guy. I know he has only about 15 NHL games under his belt but zero points none-the-less. Why does everything think he's going to be such an impact player for us? |

That's a long day for the little guy, and then you feel like crap doing it to him. If it was a playoff game, it's like 'sorry little buddy', but to do that 15-20 times a year is tough. And then to see this team rarely win.
