Do you have some sort of crystal ball that told you this is how this season was going to go? Because when I paid for my part of my season tickets, this is not what I expected to see. I didn't expect them to be Stanley Cup contenders, but I did expect them to be competing for a playoff spot, as I'm sure the majority of the rest of the season ticket holders thought.
Again, it's easy for the people who don't go to games to tell those of us that do to stop going or stop buying our tickets and all that because you're not losing anything in the first place by saying "I'm just not going to go."
When you stop buying your Center Ice subscription and stop watching altogether, maybe your argument will have a leg to stand on. - HonkFortheGoose

I was excited at first but he has shown me nothing like I said when are we going to have a Hidden Gem ugh - GERBE!!!75PTS
I think if we find a gem anytime soon it will come more on the defense. Guhle could be a helluva second round pick, and Borgen and Fitz aren't looking to bad either. |

Center Ice is $160.00, enough said. - SABRES 89
It's till money that you're paying that's going into the pocket of the Sabres (just a portion of it, but they're still getting some). Multiply that portion by allllllllllllllll the people that subscribe, and I bet it's more than they make in ticket sales every year.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. |

That's a long day for the little guy, and then you feel like crap doing it to him. If it was a playoff game, it's like 'sorry little buddy', but to do that 15-20 times a year is tough. And then to see this team rarely win. - Buffalo--Sabres
It sure is. It's actually my biggest driving factor in why I'm going to get rid of the tickets. If they actually had more games on Saturday's or Sunday's, I'd probably consider keeping them. But like 80% of them are on Tuesday or Thursday it seems. It's awful.
I'm over having to truck myself downtown on a Tuesday night in the middle of January when it's 2 degrees outside. Apparently, I'm just too old for that poop anymore. |

But you criticize the goaltending when you don't watch?
This organization has been spoiled rotten with goaltending since the Hasek years. Miller was run out of town because he wasn't Hasek but he was still pretty damn good.
Guess what, out of goaltenders that have played 20 games this season (typical starters) Lehner ranks 6th in save percentage.
The Sabres and their 2.17 goals scored per game are the problem not the goaltending.
Btw the Hasek years the Sabres scored on average 2.52 goals per game. Lehenr and Nilsson would kill for that type of goal support. |

I heard Colorado wanted Bailey, I think in the ROR trade. I don't see what the hype is with this guy. I know he has only about 15 NHL games under his belt but zero points none-the-less. Why does everything think he's going to be such an impact player for us? - sskkoo1
Only 60 or so games to go to join the likes of Grant. I'm pulling hard for Bailey. My mom works with his grandmother and has obtained some game action swag for my son. It would be cool if he became a full time pro. If not, it's like my Dave Leeper home run ball. Who's Dave Leeper? Exactly. But I did catch it on the fly at the old rockpile. |

It's not a coincidence that Dallas always has goaltending issues.

He got peppered with the most odd man rushes I have ever seen.
I remember that 3 on 0 save against Boston...
He would always let in that soft late goal to not get a shutout but man was he thrown to the wolves a lot because of Lindy's system. |

1) If we weren't the second lowest(last time I checked) scoring team in the league we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.
2) While shootouts are a gimmick, Lehner has been as bad as possible. Are we just going to have a #1 goalie who is going to leave 7 points on the table every season? It's tough to overcome. |

The Sabres have only scored 2 goals for Lehner during those shootouts as well...
AKA SCORE MORE GOALS
Yup tied for second last..now at 2.14 goals per game only Colorado and their 2.05 goals per game is worse |

Ultimately the Sabres problems still go back to potential that has not panned out..... By the way I was basically saying that I like the old way of building a successful team..... |
