Really not sure why Rattie wasn't claimed by this General Manager, it's truly mind boggling.
You give the player a chance and if he fails - so be it.
There are many players in many sports that simply play to their fullest ability after a culture change.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
When your team isn't good and you have opportunities like these, in my opinion, you just don't pass them up.
It's not like Rattie would be destroying any team chemistry with this group.

Guy put up 27 points two years ago. More than Foligno our current top line left winger has ever put up in his NHL career. Clearly he's better than Deslauries and Carrier. I think he's better than Moulson at this point too. Again this seems very obvious to me..

Just watched his highlights of 10 goal season, 4 empty net goals and 2 where the net was wide open (goalie out of position). So not a "great" 10 goals.

I don't know anything about Nieto but I would take a flyer on this dude as well. Why not? What do we have to lose? If he sucks, you put on waivers and move on.

Once again, Nieto has more goals/points than either of Grant/Delo. He would have to be considered an upgrade. Maybe the dude can kill penalties?

Lots of questions about Rattie...Interesting, yes, but ideally Sabres would use waivers to add speed/skating. Not sure he accomplishes that.
