Difference is Rattie has a lot of success as a junior player and in the AHL and has played on one of the deepest teams in the league in the dog house of a notoriously stubborn head coach. I think it's a slam dunk obvious decision so I fully expect it not to happen.

He also has no real NHL experience. Call ups don't really count, because he's only been here for a week or two at a time. If he's up for the start of the season and goes something like Derek Grant, then sure, I'm with you.

That's what I'm saying, he comes up, gets little to no practice with the guys and is expected to come in and not miss a beat. That's tough. Especially in the NHL. That's why I said if he's on the opening day roster and he still can't get anything going then I'm fine writing him off as Cole Schneider or TJ Brennan, but until then I won't judge him. He's doing everything but scoring at the moment.
