That Leaf fan troll is right though...negativity doesnt help the situation. It makes good copy and the fans like it, but thats where it ends. |

term dictates whether or not Lehner will be the guy...one-year? no...three years? probably...five years? definitive yes...
i don't see murray making that commitment yet - Michael Pachla
With any luck his ass gets canned before he can make another mistake with Lehner. |

He may not commit to him financially yet but its obvious that he envisions Lehner as the current/future number #1 otherwise he wouldn't have paid up to get him. He'll get a lot of chances and be given a lot of leeway as a result.
There will be a team or two out there that will give Petersen a better shot at earning it quicker, why wouldn't he choose that? |

he's in year-two of the build portion of the program...he's had good moves and bad moves...and he's had the game change a bit since he took over |

Here's what we know: Cal Petersen likely to exit NCAA, can sign a two year ELC shortly after his season. Will it be with Buff? Maybe.

If I'm Petersen's agent, I want to know if Sabres are going to commit to 25 year old Robin Lehner long term. - mhp

there's no more obvious commitment than dollars and term...all the rest is speculation |

Please elaborate on said changes. His bad moves are well documented. |

Accountability is also often mis interpreted as negativity
It has a negative connotation that more often than not produces positive results |

Fair enough. Let me put it this way. As petersen's agent, you watch the sabres invest a 1st rounder in a young goalie with no proven record. Are you still optimistic your client will get a fair shot? |

Actually, it rarely prodices positive results, in any industry. |

...and the Oilers....defensemen cant develop fast enough. Its a long process no matter the talent level. - Larsson_fan
You can see why the price of any reasonably young Dman is ridiculous. Lots of teams with impactful young forwards but the successful ones have the good Dmen.
