You could argue the Kane trade contributed to getting Eichel. The fact that we gave up a at the time streaking Stafford and a better defenceman in Myers for an injured at the time Kane and an injury prone terrible in his own end Bogosian definitely helped get us Eichel

Honestly? no I dont believe that because as of right now it has us below a team that didnt rush and started later than we did.

McCabes defensive game will never be that of a top pairing defenceman IMO. I think maybe he can max out as an above average 2nd pair guy. Guhle has the ability to be the top guy I believe.

Larsson for the longest time couldn't score at all. He is probably an above average 4th line center on a cup team. Asplund could be a very good 3rd line center.

Thats fair but i dont believe that to be true. At that point Myers' stats were as bad and in some areas a little worse than bogosians. And i have a hard time buying that the subtraction of drew stafford is what got us 30th. I think we were going to be 30th either way but i understand your point.
