I won't rule it out based on what we've seen. Im not down on this teams future as a whole I just dont think we have the right guy in charge. More perplexed by why he hasnt received more criticism.

as in if we won them?


It can't just be coaching. hed literally have to be the worst coach in the history of hockey to explain that kind of gap.


No doubt if jack is here whole season they're in a better spot but thats going from 4th last to 8th last. Is that what we're trying to build towards?

Not at all Kaiser. Im saying the opposite. The franchise chose not to stand pat when it probably should have and the results have brought us to about the same point as standing pat would have minus roughly one poop tonne of assets.

None of the guys we brought in are magically going to get better though, most are what they are. Spent a lot to get to this point and glaring flaws are tougher to fix without the assets to make trades and such.

year 2 add reinhart, eichel, kane and lehner

year 3 add okposo

year 4 add nylander, and player y and player z

For the most part, I feel like that's the one trade that nobody really complains about.

The Winnipeg one gets a lot of criticism. Moving McNabb for Fasching and D-Lo gets quite a bit as well.

And of course, the Lehner trade.

You are correct about that trade receiving the least complaints, but I was disagreeing with a poster that believes the Sabres would be a better team today if we had stood pat and made no moves.

That would be conjecture at best. So I graded GMTM's major moves over the past two years and he's doing a good job as far as I can tell. We used to have a GM that would never gamble or trade equals, it became very predictable and as mentioned could have very well cost this team two Stanley Cups, (yes I know he was hamstrung by his owners but I can only compare Darcy and TM using what they did)

I think Disco Dan was upset his golden boy got sent down by Murray, didn't say one word to Murray the whole practice while every other coach was by the bench, didn't even acknowledge him.
