Yes i did and i admit this is moving a little quick. Im not prepared to just give him the starter role next year, far from it. But if you have to move on from lehner and sign someone else short term to keep the door open for Cal, I would do that. Mostly because i get the impression he may not like his chances of working his way up to the starter position if 25 year old Lehner aka TM's boy is still around.

you need to lay out for him that if he comes in and shows he is good enough in rochester he will be brought up to contend for the top spot. If he earns it he can be the starter just like on any team that doesn't already have Price, lundquist, crawford etc..

If you want to show him that you are going to give him a shot you basically can't sign lehner to some huge contract because that will tell him that he is your goalie. With goaltending you can't throw all your eggs into a collegiate basket.
