Steak definitely goes in the oven. It's nigh on impossible to get the temperature right on a grill unless you have an enclosure for it. But I have to disagree with Kaiser, garlic goes in the oil you're frying it in. Butter's no good, it burns at too low of a temp and you want to have your skillet/pan screaming hot before you put the steak on. Olive oil isn't great either as it's smokepoint is relatively low too. Canola or vegetable oil is best.

Agreed . Most grills do not get hot enough. Or only get that way with the lid closed . That's a no no.

Part of this trend is an increase in Tempo but also a nuanced "heavy" game style, these kids have come to realize that due to their speed and strength they can begin to bully teams.......I've endured decades of Flyers/Bruins/ etc.....using this to their advantage. If we are ready to play the next 10 games at Playoff intensity we out skate & out hit most teams we will be right in the hunt. If we play with speed and don't make it, at least we went down growing as a team.
