He should be thrilled that he has a jerb. Not one team will hire him after his tenure is done here. Well, any important jerb anyways. He's Smelly McStinkerson as far as his gravitas goes.

I have a really hard time buying into the whole "showcasing thing". I believe a team like Toronto signed a bunch of castoffs last season to help showcase them, as a team. Play well and you stay, if not, hopefully another team likes what you bring to the table.

But playing on a team actually trying to win, I don't believe in showcasing. As an organization, you put guys where they will succeed and remove them from places where they aren't cough rex cough so no I don't believe Foligno is there to show his junk off to other teams. He's there for the same reason Carrier is on O'Reilly's line. To create space and work the walls. Foligno has really turned a corner his past 60-80 games. He's becoming very nice player with limited offensive upside. Look at Chris Kunitz. Same deal. Connor Sheary nowadays.

I am not saying I would showcase him, but who would have thought with the players we have he would be on the top line? Again, I am not sure if I want him here or not, but I do think Murray wants him (I remember last year or two saying he was an untouchable, tradewise).

I'm not being negative. They are playing well. Reinhart is playing well. Kane is playing well. The goalies are playing well.

I'm also not going to let a 4 game stretch change my total outlook. We did this earlier this year. If they can be consistent, I'll start thinking playoffs are realistic.

There are things to really like about this team right now.

See, this is the thing that drives people nuts.

One of two or three things people on this board can agree was that Grant was not helping the Sabres, and that other players in our pipeline could do more. Murray waives Grant to wide celebration, and then, when the process simply plays itself out, you blame Murray for a goof that is "actually a huge blow."

I just don't get it.
