I know its a situational player thing, and Grant is a good get, deal ends this year, low cap hit, so it does make sense, just find it funny.

i don't quite get it on NSH side.. Now they have to gaurentee him an NHL roster spot. If they want to add at the deadline they are limiting themselves one roster spot by doing this

Yea I guess by waiving him, if he is not taken your right, they are down a number of contracts allow spot. Maybe they plan on dropping a player or two? Whatever, not my problem. I wonder if TM is keeping all the open spots so during trading frenzy he can claim a bunch of "free" players that need to be waived?

Same issue with Kane playing better, Girgensons looking like the light finally went on, and hopefully Ennis too. Trade while value is high, or keep since they are producing (finally).
