According to cabin, we have 7 more points than we did at this point last season.
If they could just get some consistency in their overall game, they'd be able to make a serious push for that last playoff spot. The problem is, they haven't done that for more than 3-4 games at a time this year. |

Tampa is still ripe for the picking...
Even with Bishop back.
Win this game and keep the momentum going |

btw, I get what you've been saying about not being able to trust this team, and I agree that they'll need to do more...but I've been liking some of the signs I've been seeing as outlined in the last blog...
this blog is about a huge hurdle they'll need to overcome to get to a playoff-caliber level |

Bishop will be rusty. Jack is back. Rhino is roaring. Sabres 3 - 2 over the Bolts. Jack with 2 and Rhino stays hot with the other.
Roll Sabres! |

I cautiously optimistic for this game. And actually excited a little. hope they don't lay an egg, Buffalo sports style. |

If he has reasonable contract demands.
He's a fine player but he's not worth much more than he's already getting - chilliard77
They would absolutely miss his style of play with how he has been playing this year, and he will only be 26 at the start of next year, but talk about a sneaky deadline deal or post season deal.
I think he would get a solid return. |

do you roll 3 lines with ror, eichel and reinhart on the dot or move 1 to the wing moving forward? - homiedclown
The answer seems obvious with how well Reinhart has been playing since the switch to center.
That and you would also have a more than capable 4th line center in either Girgensons or Larsson.
If you keep Girgensons, that means you have two centers who can be double shifted at the wing position when more scoring is needed. |

If they can win the next 2 they will be in a much better spot I think. Even if they go 2-2 next week with Dallas Toronto Detroit and Montreal assuming those 2 wins are against Toronto and Detroit...
Hopeful... |

from jourdon labarber:
Lines are unchanged:
Carrier-ROR-Okposo
Foligno-Eichel-Gionta
Kane-Reinhart-Bailey
Deslauriers-Girgensons-Moulson
maybe the bigger question is, when ennis returns, can they roll four lines after he bumps d-lo to the pressbox? |

Seems to be the formula for some of those great teams. Malkin, Stamkos, Carter all move to the wing at times to ride shotty with the 1C. |

Roll 3 lines
You also have Larsson and Girgensons who can play wing and center who can take over the 3rd line center position if you want to play Eichel and Reinhart together during the game.

I still like the idea of
90-15-21
9-23-56
82-28-12
as the top three lines |

i don't see why not.. that is a pretty decent 4th line (if the real ennis stands up)
i am assuming the real ennis is the good one (not sure if that is a good assumption right now) |
