It has been a fun game - VANTEL
Sure it had action and entertainment.
Notes or pleadings to WD:
-Refrain from using Sedins on PK.
-Both PP's not working. Load one up.
-Because Sutter & Granlund had big games doesn't make Megna untouchable.
-See above & consider more offensive (players) pressure can push a game to a win. |

Did Philly get a good look at Edler for their PO run?

And in a playoff spot - Bettmanhatesus
Sorry but no. Preds won again. Plus Kings look like they wil too. They have been gifted chances with PPs and calls (goals taken back) in 2 games but couldn't get the Two points. Nice battle for being there but this works against long term when the gifts and calls aren't there. |

still in the hunt and all those calls were obvious calls against philly, this team battles we have to give them credit. |

Airport hopping, Flyers stink defensively but that usually makes for a good game when you have two bad defensive teams. Ok game? |

Did say that about the battle. All credit to players for competing. How many times in the past would calls go against? Or the point being you aren't lucky getting so many calls from carelessness in a game. Plus Preds calls on goals. It's the right ones but this doesn't happen often. Not taking advantage is what was lost. |

I get Granlund. I get Bo. I dont get Eriksson.
I didnt watch much of the game because I was on the road. Not sure if he was a major factor in this game and was simply being rewarded for his efforts or if that was WD's attempt at getting him out of his 6 mill dollar funk.
Either way. I agree, I would have much rather seen Sven. - vancity787
Sutter is your second highest goal scorer who score on a penalty shot a few games back. Willie digs his own grave |

JB said he's good to go and a coaches decision for Thursday. The back story later saying the knee bruised a bit was no injury. The claim was to excuse WD for dressing him and leaving Rodin on the bench in the Flames road game. Of course the no more Swedes crowd won't give a rats a$$. Or in Boucher's case he needs to earn it. But hey why wonder about getting more scoring or offense, right |

Megna had 2 assists tonight, that gives him a 20 game pass with WD minimum. |

Add in his 2G night back in Tampa and he's a regular, barring injury, for the season

and try new stuff that hasnt been tried. Like tree in front of the net, eriksson in same role to bang in a few....tightening the circle etc.
How about 3 players in line in front of net and 2 on the point, only 1 going behind net to retrieve at a time.
At this point do anything, nothing to lose |

Yes. Something new is needed. Though LE did provide the great screen for Danny's snap on 2 man. But that's the issue they don't move the puck well enough for the time and space for a shot. They don't get it to the open man to get the shot off. The Sedin PP are cycling puck to non danger areas or to covered guys. The other PP has trouble gaining possession in the zone. Goes for low percentage shots too often. |

perhaps they are confused and using rugby rules. Only passes to the side not forward, just goes around in a circle. Radial pass would be much better provided there's a recipient. Sedins are amazing passers and very capable of a seeing eye saucer pass through traffic.
It also seems like the canucks arent a team who tips incoming shots much either. Yet you look at how much goals against are tipped in. But I guess you need guys in front of the net for that |

The net front is one thing. The old boomer from the point shot for that has been solved by modern PK. Would like to see a more skate and drive the net strategy. They don't have any ace shooters really to throw it around for the shot. Plus not sure who's got the grit and hand eye excellence to be a net front tipster. It's another static type set up too. Unless they use the above with a pass and move position to change the angle and keep play in flow type strategy. |
