They need to trade some of their youth for immediate help on the blueline. Their top forwards are in their prime.

Probably just me, but I get the sense that other GM's feel they can take advantage of Benning because he's overpaid for assets he wanted. Could prove difficult for him going forward as no one wants to be the first GM to lose a deadline deal trade with him.

One thing I did see Dragon post today about repeating things over and over. I agree with him fully , on that all of us do it. I go on about the Swedes ,Lefty goes on about Benning Makita repeats about drama queens.

Each an every one of us is guilty about bringing the same things up over and over and over.

Even if you are complaining about the complaining , you are repeating yourself and are just as guilty.

I will take an example with Desjardins. Each game he gives the fans a head scratcher so even though it has been said a thousand times before he gives posters new material to rip apart every game.

There is definitely one poster here that gets to be more than annoying and someone said it best this morning "Stop always trying to get in the last word"

Simmonds is arguably one of if not the best Power Forward in the game right now. Definitely one of the most underrated players in the league.

I like Schenns game this season much better than the last couple though. Really rounding out his game.

Is Shenn that much more of an upgrade over Granlund, Sven and Sutter? Then what to do with all them in the line up? Plus the darn Vegas issue. The team is missing size and hitting among the top 9 isn't that more of a need?

lol it's front and center now with the forwards. Maybe this is a post Vegas trade. With that trade now the cost is beyond the deal in having to expose Sven and Hansen to lose a top 6 for nothing. Would you love that

The tricky nature of trades now pre-Vegas expansion is that slight upgrades on a position need to be measured. The cost benefit analysis needs to tip high like for a young star player. Not many of those available. Does it make sense for a rebuilding team who is a bubble at best to spend assets and expose others to Vegas as a long term move forward?
