In 2009- 2010 season their production remained the same and spiked in the following year 2011. Since signing that contract their production dropped at least 25% approximately except in the year 2011 and 2014

If it was one contract less would be said . The fact is it is a 14 mil contract . Can't split them that is where I have always had a problem .

Personally I think the contract was fair at the time and still do. The fact remains they are on the decline so the contract is viewed as over priced. Once they are gone this team can truly change. I don't see it as big a problem as others do.

That's not true but Gillis should've let them walk after their last deals were up in 2013/14.

I don't know guess it's all about perspective. Depends on if you view Tanev as a top two. Plus Granlund a young 20 goal scorer in the making who plays both center and wing. Neither are equal to one or the other but balance out value and need in package.

Canucks can still try to salvage something but you need to split them up for the rest of the contract. Everyone knows where to go when they play together. They always look to each other for first options , they need to have that taken away from them.
