He will be fine. I think he bottoms out as a 3rd liner. Not what you want from a 6OA, but that often happens to power forward types that get rushed by management.

If you asked me late last season after the WJC, I would have said he's ready. Then he came out of the summer like a disinterested kid.

pops looked good when I seen him last week, hes a big dude with good hands, good shot, his skating needs some work he not slow but if he gained another gear he could be a good nhler

That would be nice but not how WD measures young players. They have to "show" him they can handle more then 4th line before moving up. He did it with Bo, Granlund, Mcann and now Guance. A plumber gets more time by "just" showing they work hard. Vey, DD, Megna, Chaput, Skille. You got the pattern?
