I would like to see Megna sit for sure.
I think Skille has been pretty good as of late.
I think Chaput provides more grit than almost anyone on the team right now.
I think Gaunce plays lazy. Is it just me or does he seem like he doesn't give it 100% EVER. He always seems to be in the mix on the forecheck and backcheck but he just seems to be going at 75% all the time (might just be me).
I would be sitting Megna and Gaunce for Rodin and Boucher. - Codes1087
I think Gaunce is inefficient with his energy. I had an overhead seat at a game a few weeks back and he skates fairly hard, but its a lot of circles and chasing. I think he could be more explosive and direct as opposed to doing a whole lot of skating for little impact.
Chaput I like. He passes the eye test with his skating, but I think he has that feisty grit with a little skill that is ideal for the new NHL's 4th line. He's still young, but if he puts on 15 pounds of muscle I think he could be a thorn in the sides of a few teams |

I thought it was pretty funny to hear that Willie had Horvat taking the draws for the 4th line and then hop off to have Gaunce replace him. Shows how much WD likes our 4th line centers in Chaput and Gaunce taking draws lol. - Codes1087
Torts does the same with Dubinsky. The guy takes most of the teams faceoffs regardless what line is on the ice. |

I have no issue with Chaput. I like what he brings to the 4th line. Skill the same. Whoever has trained Horvat on his skating and explosiveness in the summer is who the Canucks need to hire in the offseason cause man can Horvat turn on the jets. I remember him being quick in his rookie year but his training has sure paid off. |

Not that I really want to get into this, but maybe your stuff needs updating then? Lots happens in 2 years.
For example, just posted in the summer:
Or
Sounds (and looks, based on that tweet from a few days ago) a lot like he is the new voice of the powerplay, which everyone is female doging about being awful. - WhiteLie
He'll just ignore that and keep going on about contradicting stuff he heard that can't be verified.

Its definitely a good strategy if you have a above .500 faceoff guy. I just thought it was funny that we had a 4th line with 2 centers on it, yet we had Horvat taking draws and changing after the win/loss. |

Has anyone noticed how often UND puts Boeser out on the faceoff, especially on the PP? He wins a lot of them. They seem to have a successful set play on the PP that starts with his win... I love his one timer...

Coaches are only as good as the options they have. If the GM gives his coach options then any coaching staff can find success. Symmetry between GM and coach is paramount IMO. |

He also did D for Boston (till houda came on) and a few other teams. He later did PP yes you would be correct - SMBDragon
Part of my point is that its all unverified what Jarvis' role actually is. Google search and its hard to find out what he actually does for this team, so its difficult to actually credit him with much. I am pretty sure Booner isnt being an ass, hes just asking for support on your claims. In the past you have said things along the lines that Malholtra is why PK or faceoffs are better, or Jarvis improved the D structure, but legitimately there is nothing I can find that says you are right
Another article from October says:
Former NHL player and long-time coach Doug Jarvis, who won a Selke Trophy in his career as the league's top defensive forward, was brought in as an assistant this summer to help Vancouver improve in the neutral zone.

Dragon presents his opinions as facts and then tells everyone who disagrees with him that they are either, stupid, picking fights, or heckling. Then he will going crying to the Mod about you being a bad man who hurts his feelings. He is nothing more than a rage-filled gym-bro with tiny little shriveled balls. |

His next gear is really surprising to me too. He doesnt look like he turns in on because his stride is smooth and powerful, but all of a sudden he gets separation |

If you weren't part of those discussions last year then sure I guess this won't make sense. But those who were....well point proven - Bullfrog77
I was, and I thought Edler was garbage as well. But we were worse without him lats year and we were worse without him this year. The writing on the wall is there, Tryamkin and Stetcher are 1-2 seasons away from completely replacing Edler on our D. I would still trade Edler if a deal was there as I care about 3 years from now more than right now. Same with Tanev, keep 1 trade the other. Makes us better in the future when we need to be better. |
